Minute entry for proceedings held before Magistrate Judge Diana Song Quiroga. Initial Scheduling Conference held on August 17, 2026. Plaintiff appeared via Zoom through counsel Patrick Toscano and Defendant appeared via Zoom through counsel Hector Ramirez. This case is about a motor vehicle accident between Plaintiff and a mail carrier vehicle. There was a long time between the accident and filing, which Mr. Toscano ascribed to a combination of the COVID pandemic and the administrative process. Mr. Ramirez clarified that the claim had been filed within the statute of limitations. Both parties agreed that they have been conferring and working well together. The Court noted that the deadline to amend pleadings seemed a little early but otherwise agreed with the proposed scheduling order.The Court and the parties discussed the needs of this litigation and discussed how those needs impacted pretrial management. After considering those needs, the Court and the parties adopted deadlines for each pretrial event. The Court will issue a scheduling order based on those deadlines. SCHEDULING ORDER. On August 18, 2026, the Court conducted the Initial Pretrial and Scheduling Conference in this matter. March 17, 2027 Deadline to File Motions to Exclude or Limit Expert Testimony April 16, 2027 Deadline to File Dispositive Motions. This Deadline shall be no less than 30 days after the Deadline to File Motions to Exclude or Limit Expert Testimony June 30, 2027 Deadline to File Joint Pretrial Order, Motions in Limine, and Proposed Jury Instructions (or proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law). To be set 30 days after the Deadline to File Dispositive Motions. July 30, 2027 TRACK B If Dispositive Motions are Filed: Deadline to File Joint Pretrial Order, Motions in Limine, and Proposed Jury Instructions (or proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law).
