Leave to File Document Partial Summary Judgment Hearing
MINUTES IN CHAMBERS-COURT ORDER by Judge Percy Anderson. The Court has considered the motions of Evanston Insurance Company, AMPAM Parks Mechanical, Inc., and Fair American Insurance and Reinsurance Company for leave to pursue summary judgment after the motion hearing cutoff (Dkt. Nos. 116, 119, 120), and AMPAM's ex parte application to advance the hearing on those motions (Dkt. No. 130). The Court finds these matters appropriate for decision without oral argument. C.D. Cal. L.R. 7-15. Accordingly, the motions for leave (Dkt. Nos. 116, 119, 120) are DENIED. The Court does not reach the merits of the proposed summary judgment motions. Because leave is denied, AMPAM's ex parte application to advance the hearing and establish a merits briefing schedule (Dkt. No. 130) is DENIED AS MOOT. The October 19 hearings on the motions for leave are vacated. MINUTES OF STATUS CONFERENCE held before Judge Percy Anderson. Court and counsel confer concerning the Motions for Leave filed by all parties and AMPAM Parks Mechanical, Inc.'s Unopposed Ex Parte Application to Advance Hearing Date on Parties' Motions for Leave to File Summary Judgment Motions Instanter ("Ex Parte Application") (Docket No. 130). On September 25, 2026, the Court held a video conference hearing to rule on the Motions for Leave and Ex Parte Application. For the reasons stated on the record and pursuant to the Court's in chambers order filed concurrently herein, the Court denies the Motions for Leave and denies the Ex Parte Application as moot.
