The parties advise the Court that they have reached a settlement. The terms of the agreement are stated on the record. The parties shall file the stipulation dismissing this action with prejudice by no later than Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The Court will retain jurisdiction over the subject matter during the finalization of the settlement. Thereafter, the jurisdiction of the Court will terminate. The Court inquires and Mr. Millsap advises that he will file a Notice of Withdrawal of the Defendant's Motion to Dismiss 14 forthwith. The recording of this hearing is SEALED. IT IS SO ORDERED. Status Conference
MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS - Virtual Status Conference held on 8/17/2026 before Magistrate Judge Carla Baldwin. Crtrm Administrator: LGM; Pla Counsel: John Orr; Def Counsel: Patrick Millsap; Recording start and end times: 9:11:50 - 9:29:45; Courtroom: 1; The Court addresses the parties regarding the purpose of this hearing. The Court notes that an email was received in chambers requesting that this hearing be vacated. The Court further notes that the Court's order setting this hearing 24 advises counsel of how to properly request that the hearing be vacated. In addition, the Court advises counsel that the Local Rules of Practice for the District of Nevada clearly states when you can and cannot contact chambers. Mr. Orr advises that his client requires the assistance of an interpreter which the Court approves and hopes that such translation can be done in real time as it will help the process move more smoothly. Therefore, the parties will proceed with the Early Neutral Evaluation as discussed at this hearing on August 27, 2026, at 9:00 AM. IT IS SO ORDERED.
