MINUTES for proceedings held before Magistrate Judge Thomas P LeBlanc: A TELEPHONE CONFERENCE was held on 10/1/2026. Participating by telephone were: Charles Stanislaus Feucht and Jason M Welborn on behalf of Moesha Wilson; Carl J Giffin, Jr, and Lora L Lococo on behalf of HERC Rentals Inc.; and Denise Martin Ledet on behalf of Ace American Insurance Co. After discussions with the parties regarding 56 HERC Rental's Inc.'s Consent Motion to Extend Defendant's Expert Disclosure Deadline, including the request therein to continue trial in this matter, and finding all parties to be in agreement and good cause to exist therefore,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the motion is GRANTED, and, accordingly, the deadline for defendant HERC Rentals, Inc., to furnish to plaintiff the names and written reports of any physician or other expert witness defendant intends to call at trial is extended to 11/12/2026.
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER ORDERED that trial in this matter currently set for 1/11/2027 is hereby CONTINUED and RESET for 4/19/2027 at 9:00 am in Courtroom 4, Lake Charles, Louisiana, before District Judge James D. Cain, Jr. The court will docket separately a new Scheduling Order that will reset only those pretrial deadlines under the existing 40 Scheduling Order that have not yet expired.
