MINUTE entry before the Honorable LaShonda A. Hunt: Telephonic continued final pretrial conference held. For the reasons stated on the record, the Court orders as follows: (1) Bresnahan II (25 C 15360) will be reassigned from Judge Coleman to Judge Hunt and related to Bresnahan I (18 C 1974), Schloss (18 C 1880), and Tapia (19 C 1257). (2) The Monell claims in Bresnahan I, Bresnahan II, Schloss, and Tapia will be bifurcated from the individual claims. (3) The issues of whether the non-Monell claims in Bresnahan I and II will be consolidated for trial and whether the Monell claims in Bresnahan I, Bresnahan II, Schloss, and Tapia will be consolidated for trial will be determined at a later date. (4) Upon reassignment, the Court will enter an order in Bresnahan II directing the parties to meet and confer and submit an updated discovery schedule and setting a ruling date for the pending dismissal motion. (4) The continued final pretrial conference set for 9/23/26 395 and the trial set to begin in 9/28/26 341 in Bresnahan I are stricken, and the pending motions in limine 378 379 and motion to bar undisclosed damages opinions 387 are terminated as moot. (5) By 9/30/26, the parties are directed to meet and confer regarding next steps in these related cases in light of the Court's decision and send a joint email proposing agreed dates and times for a status hearing to the Court's proposed order inbox.
