Order on Motion for Extension of Time to Complete Discovery
ORDER: Defendant Elison shall file his response, if any, to Plaintiff's Motion to Compel 72 by May 8, 2024. Defendant's Motion for Extension of Time 75 is granted in part and denied in part. This case was filed on January 6, 2023, and there have already been multiple discovery extensions. Most recently, on March 26, 2024, the Court extended the deadline for the parties to complete all discovery, including expert discovery, to July 25, 2024. The Court emphasized that "[t]here will be no extensions of the discovery deadline absent truly extraordinary circumstances." In light of the parties' schedules and the outstanding subpoenaed discovery, the Court will extend the fact discovery to July 1, 2024; Plaintiffs shall make their Fed. R. Civ. P. 26(a)(2) disclosures by July 15, 2024; Defendants shall make their Fed. R. Civ. P. 26(a)(2) disclosures by August 15, 2024; and all discovery, including expert discovery, shall be completed by August 16, 2024. There will be no further extensions of the discovery deadline absent truly extraordinary circumstances. Conflicts with other cases will not constitute extraordinary circumstances. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Joseph A. Marutollo on 5/6/2024. (KAR)
