Accused Ponzi Leader Seeks End To SEC’s $1B Asset Freeze

Shapiro asked a Florida federal judge late Wednesday to lift or modify a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission freeze on some $1 billion in assets under his control, citing limitations in a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling and calling the lock-up excessive.
