Deals Rumor Mill: Aetna, Marken, Iliad

By Benjamin Horney (July 5, 2016, 4:11 PM EDT) -- Health care giant Aetna Inc. plans to sell a portfolio of Medicare Advantage assets in order help win antitrust approval for its proposed $37 billion purchase of Humana Inc., according to a report from Reuters on Friday. According to the report, an auction has been launched for the assets, which could be valued at around $1 billion. The sale could take months, however, and it's not certain that the deal will result in the sought-for approval. The Humana acquisition is being probed by the U.S. Department of Justice, although more than 15 states, including California, Florida and Illinois, have backed the deal....
