New Requirements Pitched For Exchange Visitor Program

Law360, New York (January 11, 2017, 4:38 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of State said Wednesday it is considering adding a series of restrictions to the Exchange Visitor Program, including limits on the number of hours that participants could work at night and the number of repeat visits they could make.

The new requirements for the Summer Work Travel category of the program would also further specify what potential hosts would need to do to participate, would require that visitors and hosts be linked up in advance of the visit, and would seek to expand...
