Lawmakers Urge Gov't To Close UK Gender Pay Gap Loophole

Law360, London (June 13, 2018, 12:09 PM BST) -- Members of Parliament on Wednesday called for Britain’s new rules on reporting on gender pay gaps to be tightened amid concerns that some of the City’s biggest firms are exploiting a loophole and publishing “disingenuous” figures.

The House of Commons Treasury Committee warned that some financial services firms are “circumventing the spirit of the legislation” by splitting their figures through subsidiaries and separate company divisions.
