Law360 (August 26, 2019, 2:02 PM EDT) -- In January 2019, the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital made news headlines after it billed $24,074.50 for services it rendered to a patient who was injured in a bike crash. The health plan determined that the reasonable payment for the hospital’s services was $3,830.79, and the hospital then sought to recover the remaining amount it charged by billing the patient.
