Linklaters Leads Ardian To €2B Growth Stage Tech Fund

Law360 (September 16, 2020, 10:16 AM EDT) -- Europe-focused private equity shop Ardian, guided by Linklaters, said Wednesday that it has amassed €2 billion ($2.4 billion) for a fund that was raised during the coronavirus pandemic and will target both minority and majority investments in growth stage technology companies.

The fund, Ardian Expansion Fund V, was raised in six months right in the midst of the pandemic, according to a statement. The fund received capital commitments from a group of investors old and new, with about 50% of the limited partners for the fund having previously invested with Ardian's Expansion funds series.
