Execs Very Concerned About Climate, Deloitte Report Says

By Ben Zigterman (January 24, 2022, 8:58 PM EST) -- Nearly half of global C-level executives say their companies have already purchased insurance coverage against extreme weather risks, as company leaders report a high level of concern about climate change, according to a new sustainability report from the consulting firm Deloitte.

While 63% of the executives said they are very concerned about climate change, the Jan. 18 report also highlighted the relative lack of "needle-moving" actions taken by the companies, such as tying executive pay to sustainability goals or setting sustainability criteria for suppliers.
