Deals Rumor Mill: China Unicom, Hub International, Energen

By Benjamin Horney (August 17, 2017, 5:35 PM EDT) -- The shares of state-owned telecommunications company China Unicom will remain suspended until further notice due to uncertainty related to the details of this week's announcement that the company expects to raise about $11.6 billion from a group of investors, according to a Thursday report from Reuters. According to the report, the shares of the two main units of China United Network Communications Group Co. Ltd., or China Unicom, will remain suspended because of some confusion about the deal, including whether all of the named investors have actually agreed to participate. China Unicom on Wednesday disclosed in a regulatory filing that investors including Tencent Holdings Inc., Baidu Inc., JD.com and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. were among those that have agreed to participate in the fundraise....
