Arbitrator Rejects Patriot Gold's $5.5M Mining Claim

By Hannah Sheehan (January 25, 2016, 8:18 PM EST) -- Las Vegas mining company Patriot Gold is not entitled to $5.5 million in gold and silver produced and sold by Canada's Northern Vertex Mining Corp. during the testing it performed while working to reactivate a historic mine in northwestern Arizona, a Nevada arbitrator has ruled.

Retired Nevada Supreme Court Justice Robert E. Rose found that according to the companies' 2011 joint venture agreement, Patriot Gold has no right to precious metals produced by Northern Vertex while conducting an analysis as part of the Canadian company's 2013 pilot leach plant program at the Mohave County mining site, the companies announced Friday....
