Commerce To Probe Steel Cylinder Imports From Asia

Law360 (June 13, 2018, 5:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce will investigate imports of steel propane cylinders from China, Taiwan and Thailand in response to complaints from two U.S. steel companies that the foreign products were hurting the domestic market, the department said Tuesday.

The department said it will look into whether manufacturers from the three Asian countries are selling their steel cylinders in the U.S. at prices below fair market value. It will also launch a countervailing duty investigation into whether Chinese steel cylinder manufacturers are receiving unfair government subsidies....
