American Wind Cos. Want Tariffs On Imported Wind Towers

Law360 (July 9, 2019, 8:29 PM EDT) -- American wind tower companies have taken a beating from foreign wind tower producers selling their products in the U.S. at unfairly cheap prices, a coalition of U.S. producers alleged Tuesday, asking the U.S. government in a petition to level the playing field with tariffs.

The Wind Tower Trade Coalition, a group of companies that make wind towers in the U.S., asked the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce to slap levies on imported utility scale wind towers from Indonesia, Vietnam, Canada and South Korea, claiming that those foreign towers have been traded unfairly.
