Ludmilla Savelieff On March 16, the Office of Management and Budget released the Trump administration’s fiscal year 2018 budget outline, “America First: A Budget Blueprint to Make America Great Again,” the first formal articulation of its spending priorities. In an accompanying message to Congress, the president emphasized the importance of prioritizing American security and safety, noting significant increases for defense and homeland security offset by “greater savings and efficiencies across the Federal Government.”
