Senate Passes Iran, Russia Sanctions Bill

Law360, Washington (June 15, 2017, 1:34 PM EDT) -- The Senate passed a bill to increase sanctions on Iran and Russia Thursday in the wake of Iranian missile tests and Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

The bill, which in addition to Iranian sanctions codifies existing sanctions against Russia and requires congressional approval to remove the measures, now heads to the House of Representatives after a 98-2 vote.
