Merus Awarded $10.5M In Mouse Patent Fight

Law360 (July 11, 2018, 9:33 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge revealed Tuesday that she had granted Kirkland & Ellis LLP-backed Merus NV's bid to collect $10.5 million in costs and attorney and expert fees from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. in an infringement dispute over a genetically modified mouse patent, holding that the request was reasonable.

U.S. District Judge Katherine B. Forrest awarded $8,332,453 in attorneys' fees, $1,717,101 in litigation costs and expenses and $465,390 in expert fees to Merus, after finding in March that Merus should be fully compensated for defending itself...
