Calif. Amended Software Tax Regs Have Major Flaws

Law360 (November 7, 2019, 4:48 PM EST) -- On Oct. 11, the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, or CDTFA, announced it was commencing the interested parties meeting process with respect to Regulation 1507, Technology Transfer Agreements, in order “to clarify, make specific, and fill in the gaps in the California Sales and Use Tax Law with respect to the application of Revenue and Taxation Code Sections 6011(c)(10) and 6012(c)(10).”
