Netflix Shakes Journalist's Copyright Suit Over 'Narcos' Series

Law360 (November 8, 2019, 8:57 PM EST) -- A Florida federal judge has thrown out a copyright suit against the makers of the Netflix series “Narcos” by a well-known Colombian journalist who claimed the show ripped off scenes from her memoir involving her romantic relationship with Pablo Escobar, ruling that historical facts cannot be copyrighted.
