Bullet Proof Technology Sues Over Kevlar Grips Patent

Law360 (October 13, 2009, 6:14 PM EDT) -- Bullet Proof Technology of Texas LLC has filed a patent infringement suit against several marketers and distributors of motorcycle grips made with Kevlar.

The company, which holds a grip design patent, filed a complaint Monday against motorcycle parts makers and dealers Renthal Ltd., Plano Kawasaki Suzuki and Golden Triangle Powersports in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Bullet Proof Technology is asking for treble damages for willful and deliberate infringement of its patent and a permanent injunction preventing the defendants from further infringement.
