Max Brenner Founder Sued Over New Chocolate Cafe Chain

Law360, New York (February 24, 2012, 7:30 PM EST) -- The parent company of Max Brenner International Inc. on Friday sued the chocolate chain’s founder in New York over his plan to start a new chain of restaurants, saying he is in breach of an employment agreement and is infringing the company’s trademark.

MBI and its Israeli parent-company, Strauss Group Ltd., allege that Oded Brenner, who founded MBI's global chocolate chain, broke the terms of noncompete and confidentiality agreements with MBI when he opened Little Brown Chocolate Bakery & Coffee in New York last February, according...
