Fed. Circ. Affirms Disney's Rights To 'Pooh' Characters

Law360, New York (December 21, 2012, 5:09 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit on Friday said that publisher Stephen Slesinger Inc. had transferred its rights to the "Winnie-the-Pooh” franchise to Disney Enterprises Inc., backing a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ruling that said issues related to the ownership of the popular characters had already been decided in a previous court decision.
