USPTO Rebuffs Louboutin Bid To Broaden Red Sole Mark

Law360, New York (January 18, 2013, 5:51 PM EST) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Wednesday rejected Christian Louboutin SA's proposed modification to its trademark on red-soled shoes, as the designer continues to spar with rival Yves Saint Laurent SAS over the impact of a Second Circuit ruling upholding Louboutin's trademark.
