Schlumberger Stops Ex-Engineer From Taking Halliburton Job

Law360, Houston (February 8, 2013, 6:20 PM EST) -- A Texas court on Friday blocked a former employee of a Schlumberger Ltd. unit, who allegedly stole proprietary oil well development technology, from going to work for Halliburton Co., finding he likely violated confidentiality and noncompete agreements he signed.

The 113th Judicial District Court of Harris County issued a temporary restraining order against Milos Milosevic, who until last month was an engineer with Schlumberger Technology Corp., preventing him from starting work with Halliburton and ordering him to preserve copies of any Schlumberger data in his possession,...
