Beats Says Bose IP Injunction Would Stifle Competition

Law360, New York (August 11, 2014, 2:14 PM EDT) -- Dr. Dre's headphone company Beats Electronics LLC on Friday fired back at Bose Electronics LLC's bid for an injunction against Beats products that allegedly infringe a noise-canceling patent, telling the U.S. International Trade Commission that a ban would strongly harm consumer choice.

Bose sued Beats in Delaware federal court and filed a complaint with the ITC in July, saying that Beats by Dre Studio and Studio Wireless products infringe Bose's patents and that Beats imports patent-violating components from China.
