St. Paul Settles Coverage Suit Over Porn Site IP Battle

Law360, New York (June 16, 2017, 3:19 PM EDT) -- St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co. and Usenet service provider Giganews Inc. told the Fifth Circuit on Thursday they had settled a battle over coverage of defense costs from copyright litigation.

In a joint motion, St. Paul, Giganews and co-defendant Livewire Services Inc. said they had settled their suit over whether Giganews and Livewire were owed coverage for the costs they incurred in their successful defense against a copyright infringement suit brought by adult entertainment company Perfect 10 Inc.
