Dentons Adds Mindfulness Officer Position In Europe

Law360 (August 20, 2019, 8:39 PM EDT) -- Dentons has appointed a partner as the firm's chief mindfulness officer for Europe, creating a position for promoting well-being among its attorneys that represents the latest effort by major law firms to target the industry's mental health issues.

Karina Furga-Dąbrowska, from the firm's tax and life sciences group, will concentrate on helping Dentons' attorneys in Europe reduce stress, avoid perfectionism and develop emotional intelligence skills such as self-regulation and empathy, according to the firm's announcement Tuesday.

Furga-Dąbrowska, who has completed several teacher training courses related to mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in the workplace, will continue efforts that were part of her work...
