Snell & Wilmer Joins BigLaw Layoffs With 40 Cuts

Law360, New York (May 9, 2014, 7:36 PM EDT) -- Southwestern powerhouse Snell & Wilmer LLP has cut 40 staffers in recent days, the firm chairman confirmed Friday, joining a long list of large law firms making headcount cuts in the last year.

Snell chairman John Bouma said in a statement that the layoffs were made “to achieve better alignment and recognize increased efficiencies.”

No lawyers were caught in the cuts, a firm spokesman said.
