NYU Rips Claims Of Law Journal Bias Against White Men

Law360, New York (January 3, 2019, 6:23 PM EST) -- New York University School of Law on Thursday pushed back at a lawsuit claiming its law review discriminates against white men, saying its diversity policies are legal under U.S. Supreme Court precedent.

An attorney for NYU, Tamar Lusztig of Susman Godfrey LLP, made the remarks in a conference before U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos in Manhattan, in response to a suit by a group called Faculty, Alumni, and Students Opposed to Racial Preferences. The group claims its members are being shut out of the New York University Law Review due to the school’s preference for racial, gender and sexual orientation-based diversity....
