Brando's Estate Ends License Suit Over Madonna Contract

Law360, New York (January 18, 2013, 1:53 PM EST) -- Licensing agency CMG Worldwide Inc. on Thursday settled a lawsuit it had brought against Marlon Brando's estate accusing it of backing out of a deal to allow pop singer Madonna to use the late actor's name and likeness on her 2012 world tour.

In a filing in Indiana federal court, CMG said all claims in the suit, which also names fellow licensing company Brand Sense Partners LLC and one of its executives, had been resolved. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
