Philly Nursing Home To Pay $145K In Wrongful Death Suit

Law360, New York (October 24, 2017, 5:17 PM EDT) -- A Philadelphia nursing home agreed to give $145,000 to the son of a woman who died from respiratory failure, with more than $75,000 to be given to his attorneys, according to a motion filed by the son's counsel in Pennsylvania federal court late last week.

Following a settlement conference, Simpson House Inc. and John Simmons, as the estate administrator for his deceased mother Ola Simmons, agreed to resolve the wrongful death and and survival claims against it on Oct. 20.
