Deals Rumor Mill: Cofco, Airbus, Sharp Corp.

By Benjamin Horney (December 16, 2015, 8:05 PM EST) -- Hong Kong-based commodity trader Noble Group Ltd. said Wednesday that it is in talks to sell its stake in Noble Agri, an agricultural joint venture with Chinese food giant Cofco Corp., and according to a report from the Financial Times, the 49 percent stake may go for about $750 million. The potential buyer is Cofco, and the report said that Cofco may wind up having to pay as much as $1 billion for the stake based on an "earn out" arrangement that would kick in if the business starts to generate additional cash....
