Blockbuster Seeks Extension To Ch. 11 Plan Deadlines

Law360, New York (December 23, 2010, 5:38 PM EST) -- Blockbuster Inc. has requested more time to file a Chapter 11 plan, claiming it has yet to come to a consensus on its reorganization strategy.

The company, which faces deadlines to file its plan by Jan. 21 and gain creditor support for the plan by March 21, lodged a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday seeking an extension of its exclusive periods to submit its plan and collect creditor votes to March 21 and May 20, respectively....
