Pa. Landowner Wants Gas Royalty Suit Left Intact

Law360, Philadelphia (January 10, 2017, 3:55 PM EST) -- The landowner behind a putative class action in Pennsylvania federal court defended on Tuesday his accusations that two natural gas lease holders shorted him on royalty payments, saying the lessee was not free to sell the gas at any price it wished.

Michael Slamon, who owns land in Susquehanna County, said that efforts by Reliance Holding and Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. to have his suit dismissed were flawed because of assumptions made about their transactions with purchaser DTE Energy Trading Inc.
