PharMerica Agrees To Pay $15M To Settle TCPA Class Action

Law360, New York (November 6, 2015, 7:34 PM EST) -- PharMerica, a pharmacy serving long-term care facilities, asked a Florida federal court to grant final approval to a $15 million settlement with a class of nursing homes over allegations the drug provider buffeted them with unsolicited fax ads in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Under the terms of the deal, the members of the class led by Pines Nursing Home that file approved claims will each get an estimated $300 per fax they received, totaling about $2,000 for each fax number hit with unwanted ads for PharMerica Corp. symposiums in the Orlando area.
