FAA Dragging On Drone Privacy Concerns, DC Circ. Told

Law360, New York (November 19, 2015, 8:15 PM EST) -- The Federal Aviation Administration can't keep dragging its heels and refusing to address privacy concerns with its piecemeal approach to developing regulations for commercial drone use, a privacy watchdog group told the D.C. Circuit on Thursday.

In its ongoing bid to force rulemaking on drone-related privacy and civil liberty concerns, the Electronic Privacy Information Center struck back at the agency's argument that privacy was "beyond the scope" of the FAA's recent small-drone rulemaking.
