Sanofi Junk Fax Class Asks For Cert In TCPA Row

By Matthew Guarnaccia (June 29, 2016, 12:04 PM EDT) -- A physician who claims companies working on behalf of Sanofi Pasteur Inc. and a subsidiary to send unsolicited fax advertisements to his office asked a Pennsylvania federal court on Tuesday to certify a nationwide class of approximately 200,000 members.

Brooklyn-based physician Ari Weitzner's proposed class includes any person or entity that received faxes sent by three advertisers on behalf of Sanofi or subsidiary Vaxserve Inc. between February 2005 and the present.  The class members' fax numbers were allegedly obtained through third party list broker List Strategies Inc.
