Sens. Propose Bill To Boost Small Business Cybersecurity

Law360, New York (March 29, 2017, 8:31 PM EDT) -- A bipartisan group of U.S. senators have introduced a bill that would offer small businesses additional resources to help them protect against and manage cybersecurity risks, according to a set of press releases issued by the lawmakers on Wednesday.

Citing a statistic that 60 percent of small businesses end up out of business within six months of suffering a cyberattack, the group of five lawmakers introduced the Main Street Cybersecurity Act, which calls for easier access to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, or NIST,...
