Baker Botts Snags 9 Partners From Norton Rose Fulbright

By Darcy Reddan (February 22, 2017, 6:45 PM EST) -- Baker Botts LLP has hired nine partners experienced in tax, private equity, energy and mergers and acquisitions from Norton Rose Fulbright to join its Houston, Texas, office, including the leaders of several of its transactional and tax practices.

The group worked closely together during their time at Norton Rose, which on Tuesday said it will merge with Chadbourne & Parke LLC. Among those joining Baker Botts are Robert Phillpott, former head of Norton Rose's U.S. M&A and securities practices; Efren Acosta, the former head of its Houston corporate, M&A and securities practices; and David Peterman, the former head of its U.S. M&A and securities practices....
