Law360, New York (December 2, 2013, 2:30 PM EST) -- A New Jersey judge has dismissed 15 lawsuits over Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.'s bone-strengthening drug Zometa, based on a failure to file certain documents intended to show that the cases belonged in the multicounty litigation.
Judge Jessica Mayer said in an order issued Nov. 19 that plaintiffs' counsel were required to file affidavits or certifications with Middlesex County Superior Court to indicate that each case had a real party in interest with standing, which the 15 named cases had failed to do.
