Firms Kick Off Benicar Diarrhea Suits Against Daiichi

Law360, New York (February 25, 2014, 7:40 PM EST) -- Two plaintiffs firms are planning to launch lawsuits against Daiichi Sankyo Inc. later this week in New Jersey that claim the company's blood pressure drug Benicar caused severe diarrhea and other serious injuries, among the first such suits against Daiichi.

The firms, Levin Papantonio Thomas Mitchell Rafferty & Proctor PA and Lopez McHugh LLP, filed three Benicar injury suits in New Jersey earlier in February, with the two firms filing one together and Lopez McHugh filing two on its own. The suits have all been removed to federal court.
