Anheuser-Busch Settles Claims It Hid Kirin Beer's US Origin

Law360, Miami (January 5, 2015, 7:54 PM EST) -- Anheuser-Busch Cos. LLC has settled a class suit filed by two Miami residents accusing the company of deceiving consumers into thinking that Kirin beer is still imported from Japan, when in fact it is brewed by the company at two U.S. locations using domestic ingredients.

Florida Judge John Thornton granted preliminary approval Dec. 17 to a settlement that will get Kirin purchasers up to $50 per household in reimbursement for Kirin they bought while thinking it was imported.
