Most Claims Proceed In NH Teflon Chemical Leak Suit

Law360, Washington (December 7, 2017, 3:18 PM EST) -- A New Hampshire federal judge on Wednesday trimmed an unjust enrichment claim from a putative class action against Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics over alleged water contamination from a toxic chemical used to make Teflon, but let the remaining claims stand.

U.S. District Judge Joseph N. Laplante rejected Saint-Gobain’s effort to quash the suit outright for lack of standing, saying in a memorandum order that the affected property owners affected have adequately alleged damages over the release of chemicals from a Merrimack, New Hampshire, plant.
