BigLaw Urges Congress To Keep Funding Legal Aid Org.

Law360, New York (May 23, 2017, 3:19 PM EDT) -- Heads of more than 165 BigLaw firms — including Dentons, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP — urged Congress on Monday to appropriate $450 million to the Legal Services Corp. for fiscal year 2018, even as the Trump administration has said it plans to shutter the organization.
