WeWork Stays In-House With New GC Appointment

Law360 (October 26, 2018, 7:04 AM EDT) -- WeWork has promoted one of its in-house lawyers to lead its legal department, the office space-sharing company confirmed to Law360 on Friday.

Jared DeMatteis — who first joined WeWork’s legal team as deputy general counsel, corporate, in early 2015 — last week officially succeeded Peter Greenspan, who has taken on the role of global head of real estate and special counsel. DeMatteis will oversee a global legal team that spans 23 countries.
