Philly Hospitals To Mediate Owner Issues In Ch. 11 Case

By Vince Sullivan (July 22, 2021, 5:56 PM EDT) -- Attorneys for the former owner of two Philadelphia hospitals told a Delaware bankruptcy judge on Thursday that it had reached a standstill agreement with its owner over disputes involving corporate governance actions while the parties pursue mediation of their issues.

During a virtual hearing, Center City Healthcare attorney Mark Minuti of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP said that the conflict that arose last month after owner Joel Freedman allegedly retaliated against the debtor for filing an adversary case against him has been shelved while the two sides prepare to mediate their differences.
