Deals Rumor Mill: CBS, Edison, Amazon

The report comes after Redstone, the vice chair of the boards of both CBS and Viacom, had been reportedly pushing deal talks between the once-unified media giants. Reuters reported on Monday that CBS was going to make a merger proposal for Viacom that was less than its current valuation. In that proposal, CBS Chief Executive Leslie Moonves suggested he continue to lead the company for at least two years if Viacom accepts the merger proposal....
